Sawyer Davidson Introduction

               Hello, I am Sawyer Davidson, a junior advertising major here at UNL. I am 21 years old and have moved all over including Oklahoma, Kansas, Minnesota, Arkansas, and finally to Nebraska. I went to high school in Kearney Nebraska, and once I graduated I decided on Lincoln due to many friends going here as well. I started off my college career by joining the Kappa Sigma fraternity, which I was a part of until the end of the Fall semester this year. I have taken 3 online courses since starting college, two here and one at the community college in Kearney. I also work for the Online and Distance Education building for UNL as a student worker, and have been doing so for a little over a year.
            I believe communication is one of the most important aspects in the professional world. No matter what profession you are in, communication will be essential to being effective in the work place. Poor communication makes working as a team much more difficult in any situation. In addition, cultures are very diverse in comparison to each other, so communication between different cultures is difficult but very important. I hope to improve my overall knowledge of communications, and be able to apply this to my life.
            My hobbies would include hanging out with friends, playing basketball, watching movies, and spending time with my recently adopted Pitbull. She is a 1-year-old, female that I was lucky enough to take in from a co-worker. I look forward to improving my communications knowledge, as well as getting to know you all better.
