This is Joe Morrison. I'm a junior majoring in sociology. I hope to get my Master's in Sociology of Education at some point. Last year I received my Associates degree at Southeast Community College where I took most of my classes online. While at UNL I've taken more online courses as well, and for the most part do better with them.

I think this class will be interesting and helpful. My beautiful fiance took this class a few years ago when she went to UNL and gave it a good enough review for me to take it. So far I like what I see.
Outside of school I stay very busy. This is the first time in two years where I haven't been working more than 40 hours a week, but still stay busy. I work at West Lincoln Elementary school where I stay very busy with the BD students. I love that school. I also coach freshman football at Lincoln High. My student athletes at Lincoln High have become another extension of my family. Those young men are one of the reasons I'm interested in other cultures and communication between. I've coached young men who have lived across the country and world. They have come from across the street to Chicago, Detroit, or Mississippi. I've had many from Sudan, Tanzania, Iraq, and Russia. In my three years there has been at least 13 different languages spoken between the staff and students. Everyday with them was a new and exciting adventure.
