My name is Mikayla Pate and I am a Junior in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications getting my degree in Advertising and Public Relations. I have concentrations in Philosophy, English, and Communications. I moved to Lincoln to Attend UNL after graduating from high school in Omaha, NE. I briefly attended SCC while figuring out financial aid.
I have taken only a few online classes, and have struggled with staying organized and ahead of assignments. I am taking this class because I am pregnant and due February 13th with a little girl, Liliana or Lily for short. I didn't want to have to take a semester off from classes, and with my concentration in communications this class worked great for me. There isn't really anything specific that I hope to learn.
My interests and hobbies are pretty limited right now, they consist of working, preparing for my daughter, shopping, and spending time with my Fiance', Terence and my dog Max. Nearly all of my free time goes to spending time with them or sleeping. I do enjoy reading although I haven't had much time lately.
